The highly successful Christmas Shopping Fayre at Westpoint, Exeter has been running since 1996. It’s popularity has grown each Christmas, and the Fayre attracts an army of thousands of visitors each year, making it the biggest event of its type in the whole of the South West.

With so many visitors relying on the Fayre to solve their Christmas shopping the word has quickly spread amongst traders up and down the country that it’s an event not to miss. This enables us to take our pick of reputable companies with totally diverse ranges.

All of our regular shoppers know that the Fayre will always offer a wider choice of unique gift ideas than a High Street full of shops. Each morning there’s a buzz of anticipation with long queues of shoppers ready for opening time!

ADVERTISING

Everyone asks how we attract so many Christmas shoppers each year and the answer’s simple – we spend far too much on advertising!

Our extensive marketing campaigns leave nothing to chance – radio, newspapers, magazines, leaflets, posters, banners… It’s always punchy and it works!

EXHIBITION STAND SPECIFICATIONS

First time exhibitors need to give much thought to picking the size of stand best suited to displaying and selling their lines. Some traders only need frontage while others prefer enough depth to get the shoppers into their sales area.

Our stand sizes start at 3m x 2m and go up to most permutations (Egan Sheepskin Products for example had the same 6m x 6m stand for 16 consecutive years!).

We offer a limited number of space only sites for craft exhibitors in our very busy craft annexe (p.o.a.)

OUTSIDE TRADING

We are able to offer a few pitches outside with the catering wagons near the main entrance (p.o.a.)

BOOKING YOUR STAND

Take a good look around our website to answer any questions you may have, then choose the size of stand which suits you best. As long as the lines you sell differ from those already booked in we will gladly reserve a stand for you at the Shopping Fayre.

You need to complete our Order Form and return by email or post. Please make sure you give an accurate description of the lines that you will be selling as these will be the only items permitted on your stand. If your application is accepted we will notify you by telephone or email at which point you will be sent an invoice for a deposit payment. With your final statement you’ll receive a pack with all your set-up details, accommodation listings, exhibitor and vehicle passes and free tickets etc. We recommend that you (especially first time exhibitors) keep in touch and contact us with any queries that may arise.

The past 23 years of running this event has given us a wealth of expertise which we are happy to pass on.

PAYMENT

We accept payment by cheque, card or bank transfer.

OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION

PARKING: Ample parking for exhibitors adjacent to the main hall with many exit doors allowing for easy access of stock from your vehicle. No steps to negotiate.
ELECTRICAL: We have a firm of specialist exhibition electricians (E.H.Havill Ltd) on site during the Fayre if you need to amend any of your lighting or power requirements.
SECURITY: There is overnight security in the hall but it helps us if exhibitors bring adequate sheeting to cover their stand each evening.
CATERING: The Westpoint restaurant is open for exhibitors during set-up and also early each morning. Catering wagons are also available for a quick cuppa or snack.
CASH-POINT: Cashpoints are situated in the foyer (note – NOT free to use).
